River Manor’s existing callbox and property access system has reached the end of its useful life and must be replaced. As part of that necessary replacement, the Association will be installing ButterflyMX, a modern access and visitor management system that will take the place of our aging callboxes.
While replacing the existing system is necessary, ButterflyMX also gives us the opportunity to make everyday access to River Manor easier and more convenient for residents, guests, and deliveries.
Your existing building key will continue to work! ButterflyMX is replacing the electronic access and callbox equipment, and residents are not losing the ability to use their existing keys for entry.
What is ButterflyMX?
ButterflyMX performs the same essential function as our current system — allowing residents to provide access to visitors — but uses newer technology and offers several additional conveniences.
Owners and Residents will be able to:
Let guests and visitors into the property directly from their smartphone.
See who is requesting access before allowing them in.
Create virtual access passes for expected visitors, family members, service providers, and others.
Better manage deliveries and recurring visitors without having to coordinate access each time.
Manage visitor access while away from home through the ButterflyMX mobile app.
Use available alternatives for residents who do not use a smartphone.
The goal is straightforward: replace equipment that has reached the end of its life with a reliable modern system while making visitor access simpler for our residents.
Community Demonstration and Training
Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 PM
River Manor Clubhouse
Representatives from ButterflyMX will be onsite to demonstrate the new equipment, explain how the system works, and walk residents through its features.
This is an opportunity to see the new system firsthand, learn how to use it, and ask questions directly of the ButterflyMX team.
We strongly encourage residents to attend, especially anyone who would like some hands-on help becoming familiar with the new system.
What Happens Next?
September 2 - Resident Instructions and Community Training
Residents will receive instructions from ButterflyMX explaining how to download the ButterflyMX mobile app and access their account, including the information needed to establish their login credentials and begin using the system. The first community training and demonstration will be held in the Clubhouse at 6:00 PM.
September 3 - Clubhouse Installation Begins
Installation will begin with the new keypad entry panels at the Clubhouse.
September 4-7 - Building Entry Panels
New ButterflyMX video entry panels will be installed at the front and rear entrances of Buildings A, B and C.
September 8 - Additional Resident Training
A second resident training session will be held in the Clubhouse at 6:00 PM, immediately before the scheduled Board meeting. This will provide another opportunity for residents to receive assistance and become familiar with the new system.
Week of September 14 - Additional Help, If Needed
If residents would benefit from another session after the system has been in use, an additional training session can be scheduled during the week of September 14.
Our goal is to give everyone ample opportunity to learn the new system, ask questions, and become comfortable using its features. We will continue providing information throughout the installation and work to make the transition from the existing system as smooth as possible.
We look forward to completing this necessary equipment replacement and providing River Manor residents with a more reliable, convenient, and user-friendly way to manage everyday access to our community.
